ABOUT US

Some things just work well together: coffee and chocolate; peanut
butter and banana; champagne and orange juice; Jane and Liza.

Jane Falck and Liza-Jane Saban are both equal parts brains and
beauty behind Sanctum. The powerhouse pair are self-care
enthusiasts and together they’ve made it their mission to make
self-care accessible.

Jane and Liza are no strangers to the marketing and advertising
world, having established and run a successful marketing and PR
agency by the name of Match Creative. The duo were in business
together for ten years before Jane took on an opportunity to open
a top-performing beauty store in the Western Cape. During that time
Liza continued to work in marketing and PR.

Although they were never really apart, the two came together
once again to develop Sanctum.

And the rest, they say, is history.

WHAT IS SELF-CARE?

To put it simply, self-care is the act of taking care of yourself.
It’s taking time each day to do something deliberately for your well-being.
There are several ways in which you can achieve this:

Professionally (such as learning something new)

Physically (such as eating well)

Psychologically (such as stress management)

Spiritually (such as meditation)

Socially (such as connecting with others)

Emotionally (such as journaling)

These things may seem simple and they are often the first to be neglected after a busy day, but they play a huge role in your well-being.

Self-care can also mean adopting healthy habits like putting your cell phone in another room at night,
reaching out to a loved one when you need help or even scheduling that doctor’s appointment you have been putting off now.

It is important to be invested in yourself.

WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?

That old saying ‘you can’t pour from an empty cup’ is true.
You can continue to put the needs of others before your
own, but without taking time out to do something that
fills your cup you’ll eventually be left with nothing.

Let us at Sanctum help you fill that cup.
